October 10, 1999: Krakow and Auschwitz
St. Anne's Church 1600x1200 (630 KB)

St. Anne's, originally built as a university church, is considered to be one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Krakow. The area around St. Anne's was the original Jewish district of Krakow, until the Jagiellonian University bought most of the local property in the early 15th century and the Jewish community relocated to Kasimierz.
