"The hospital was opened 28th June 1878... The hospital admitted, free of charge, Jewish children with infectious internal diseases or requiring surgical intervention. The casualty section of the hospital treated all children regardless of religious denomination."

"The 10th August 1942 the hospital was emptied on Nazi orders... In September, the children, nurses, and doctors were transported to the extermination camp at Treblinka."
