My Visit To
Poland

October 4, 1999: Warsaw
"Path of Remembrance" Monument 1600x1200
(453 KB)

The "Path of Remembrance" monuments commemorate various people and events of significance to the Warsaw Ghetto. The Path of Remembrance was dedicated in 1988, on the 45th anniversary of the 1943 uprising. Additional views of this monument are displayed on the next two pages. (For views of a few other monuments in the series, see the Path of Remembrance Monuments section of this website.)

By the way, I should mention that I have seen the "Path of Remembrance" referred to by several other names, including some as diverse as "Memory Lane" and "The Memorial Route of the Jewish Martyrdom and Struggle."
