WebFeats "officially" opens for business tomorrow (June 15, 1995), so the URL that I've been using for this diary (http://www.webfeats.com/) is about to become the WebFeats Home Page. For historical purposes (no, the Smithsonian hasn't called yet, but I'm sure that it's just a matter of time), I'll maintain a link from that page to the diary, which will move to a subdirectory (http://www.webfeats.com/diary/) tonight.
A quick final update:
I've been approved for credit card processing. First Net will send someone to my place day after tomorrow to install the verification software and to train me on its use.
My ISDN line is working (today). The phone company has discovered two different problems in the last week, but there hasn't been a problem since they fixed the last one yesterday afternoon. (That's over 12 straight hours of uninterrupted ISDN service! Not bad for only a $600 installation charge...)
I plan to complete work on the new WebFeats Web site this afternoon and put it online tonight in preparation for the "grand opening" tomorrow.
Today's project is to install Quota Manager, the software that allows me to limit users to the diskspace for which they've actually paid me. I had a minor problem when I first tried to install it a few weeks ago, and so I put off figuring it out until the last possible minute (of course).
THANK YOU, each and every one of you, for all of your kind notes of encouragement. Keep in touch!
At this point, you're welcome to proceed to the
next diary page,
or you can return to the
WebFeats Webserver Setup Diary Home Page,
or you can go all the way back to the
WebFeats Home Page.
