October 11, 1999: Krakow

The Old Synagogue

I'll be flying back to Warsaw late this afternoon; from there, I'll be catching my flight back across the Atlantic tomorrow morning. I'm pretty worn out, and as much as I've enjoyed my visit to Poland, I have to admit that I'm ready to go home.

But while I'm still here in Krakow, there's one last thing I want to track down: My family name in Poland was "Myszkowski," and it's my understanding that there's a Myszkowski Chapel in Krakow. The odds that I'm related to that Myszkowski border on zero – but this is a family history trip after all, so I feel like I should make an effort to see the place. Just in case.
